My Knitting & Reading Update for June 21, 2026
Another week, another small stack of finished stitches, half-finished socks, and books. This is the weekly round-up from the needles, books, and project bags currently rotating through my Florida life.

Finished Objects (FOs)
This week had a satisfying finish line energy. I wrapped up two projects.
FSU Shortie Socks (Pair #10 for the Year)
Bright, bold and unmistakably collegiate. These shorties are officially off the needles and ready for ME to wear. They feel like summer in sock form.
Yarn: Unicorn Solid
Pattern: Vanilla Sock
Needles: Bamboo 9” Circulars
Banana Sock #1
The first sock in the set is complete and waiting for its sole mate. There is something oddly satisfying about finishing sock one when sock two is already queued up.
New Cast Ons
Because finishing things always seems to invite new beginnings.
Bestie Bookmark
A small, fast project that feels like a little handwritten note in yarn form. This one is joining my summer snail mail rotation, destined for another fiber friend.
Banana Sock #2
Immediately cast on after finishing sock one. No hesitation. No gap in momentum. Just straight into round two.
Works in Progress (WIPs)
Hermione’s Everyday Socks
Still one of my most reliable “always pick up” projects. I’ve been steadily working down the foot section on both socks and I am almost halfway there on each one.
There is something comforting about this pattern. It doesn’t demand attention, but it rewards consistency.
Yarn: Unicorn Solid
Colorway: Mustard
Pattern: Hermione’s Everyday Sock (Free)
Reading
This week was a strong reading stretch with a mix of finishes and a current deep dive.

Currently Reading
You can order my reads through Bookshop.org to add them to your bookshelf or TBR pile. Every purchase gives back to local bookstores and contributes to my Wool Work for Yarn Fund. Win-win!
Until next week, may your stitch markers stay where you left them and your yarn behave itself just enough to be interesting.
