Kristie's Knitting Notes March 29, 2026
Last week was Spring Break for my girls, which means I did a lot of knitting in the wild, including the beach, a knitting meetup, a birthday party at an go kart place and around the world at Epcot! I rounded up what lived on my needles and what I read last week.

Cast On
I cast on a new soap sock in Gray.

This is Hello Winter Sock #1. Done.
Yarn: Freckled Whimsy

Needles: Chiaogoo Bamboo 9” Circulars
I finished two soap socks this week in Mod Blue + Yellow. I added them to my pile to ship off to Warm Up America.
Yarn: Lily Sugar ‘N Cream 100% Cotton
Colorway: Watermelon Kisses, Hot Green, Red, Mod Blue & Yellow
Needles: 9” Circulars US Size 8
I finished pair #5 for the year.

WIPs (Works in Progress)
Dino-mite Sock #1 (top) and the Plateau de Valensole Sock #1 are the two projects I worked on during my trip to Epcot.
I finished the heel flap and turn on the Dino-mite sock and made it to the gusset pickup.
I finished the foot and made it to the toes on the Plateau de Valensole Sock #1.
Since I am using the Dino-mite yarn for the toes on the Plateau de Valensole sock, I have to wait until I finish with the foot on the Dino-mite sock.

I gave very little love to my first sweater this week, so it is still on the needles. I knit 6 of the 60 rounds that I estimate I have left to finish the body!
