My Knitting & Reading Update for May 17

I rounded up what lived on my needles last week.

Knitting

FOs (Finished Objects)

I finished FSU Sock #1.

• Yarn: Unicorn Solid

• Colorways: Burgundy, Mustard

• Pattern: Vanilla Sock

• Needles: Bamboo 9” Circulars

WIPs (Works in Progress)

I’ve been working on my oldest daughter’s Hurricane Blanket again. It’s such a soft, squishy yarn. I’m just knitting the entire thing, so it’s a dream to knit while watching TV or listening to a book. I’ve has some questions about the pattern. I don’t have one. I cast on about 230 stitches with US Size 7 Needles and I am flat knitting the entire thing.

• Yarn: Hurricane

• Colorway: Pink Coral

• Needles: Chiaogoo Red Twist Interchangeable US Size 7

I knit about 37 rounds on sleeve #1 of my first sweater. I estimate i need to knit about 50 rounds to get to 7”.

• Yarn: Lion Brand Pound of Love – Sugar Cookie

• Needles: Chiaogoo Red Twist Interchangeable US Size 6

I am on still working on my Bible Sweater. I’ve been asked about the pattern for this, too. I also don’t have one. I measured my bible to see how wide I need it to be. Then I measured the number of stitches I knit in 1”. Then I cast on the number of stitches to get the width I need. I am knitting on the right side (RS) and purling on the wrong side (WS).

• Needles: Chiaogoo Circulars US Size 2

I knit 6 out of 10 rounds of the cuff on Blue-and-Red Striped Shortie Sock #2.

I knit 9 out of 20 rounds on Hermione’s Everyday Sock #1.
