June Wrap-Up: Knitting, Reading & Products I’m Loving
June felt like the perfect mix of productivity and slowing down. There was plenty of knitting, a stack of books, and a few clean beauty products that have become staples in my summer routine. Here’s a look back at what kept my needles clicking, my pages turning, and my skin happy.
🧶 On My Needles
Summer Sock Camp has been keeping me motivated, and I’m happy to say June ended with several finishes and a few exciting new projects.
Finished Projects
June was a fantastic month for crossing socks + bookmarks off my 2026 knitting goals.
I finished 4 bookmarks for snail mail summer:
FSU Shortie Socks (Pair #10 for the Year)
Bright, bold and unmistakably collegiate. These shorties are officially off the needles and ready for ME to wear. They feel like summer in sock form.
Yarn: Unicorn Solid
Pattern: Vanilla Sock
Needles: Bamboo 9” Circulars
Hermione’s Everyday Socks (Pair #11 for the Year)
Yarn: Unicorn Solid
Colorway: Mustard
Pattern: Hermione’s Everyday Sock (Free)
Banana Socks (Pair #12 for the Year)
There’s something incredibly satisfying about weaving in those final ends and adding another completed pair to the sock drawer. Reaching twelve finished pairs halfway through the year feels like a great milestone.
Yarn: Mystery
Colorway: Mystery
Pattern: Banana Socks by Fire and Fiber
Needle: Bamboo 9” Circulars
Works in Progress
No sooner were those socks off the needles than I was ready to cast on something new.
Current WIPs include:
Mermaid Scales Shortie Socks – I couldn’t resist this fun colorway, and it’s already reminding me of summer by the water.
Ribbed Shorties– Because apparently one heel-less pair wasn’t enough!
As always, my trusty 9” circular needles are making these projects fly.
📚 June Reading
Reading has been just as enjoyable as knitting this month.
Books I finished include:

☀️ Products I’m Loving This Month
Florida summers are no joke, so my beauty routine has shifted toward lightweight hydration and daily sun protection.
Counter Summer Sun Set
The Counter Summer Sun Set has become my go-to for summer essentials. It makes protecting my skin simple while keeping everything feeling light, even during humid Florida days. Whether I’m heading to the beach, watching hockey, or knitting outside with an iced coffee, these products are always within reach.
Counter Lip Balm
A good lip balm is a year-round essential, but summer heat and sunshine make it even more important. The Counter Lip Balm keeps my lips soft without feeling heavy or sticky, making it easy to toss into every bag I own.
Counter Body Lotion
After a day in the sun, the Counter Body Lotion is exactly what my skin needs. It’s lightweight, absorbs quickly, and leaves my skin feeling hydrated without any greasy residue. Perfect for Florida weather.
If you’re interested in trying any of these products, you can shop through my Counter affiliate link.

Looking Ahead to July
July is shaping up to be another fun knitting month. My goal is to keep making progress on my current socks, spend more time reading, and enjoy every bit of summer (while staying out of the Florida heat or on the beach whenever possible!).
Thanks for following along with my knitting adventures, book recommendations, and favorite finds. I’d love to hear what you’re making, reading, or loving this summer. Leave a comment below or connect with me on Instagram.
