There are few things better than knitting with the sound of waves rolling in and a salty breeze drifting across your needles. Beach knitting turns an ordinary project into a tiny vacation. The rhythm of stitches blends with the tide, and suddenly an afternoon disappears in the best possible way.

But beach knitting works best when you pack the right project and a few smart supplies. A well-packed knitting bag keeps sand out of your yarn (although I am not personally opposed to sandy stitches), prevents runaway yarn balls, and ensures everything you need is within arm’s reach.
